This Week's Sermon :Prosperity

It is sad when a born again evangelical church pastor judges other born again christians' " faith " and " commitment " unto Jesus, by the amount of money and material things of this present world they possess.

Jesus clearly said -

"And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. "   Luke 12:15

The psalmist David said that both the saved and the unsaved can be smart enough to know how to obtain riches in this world...even without God's help.

As a matter of fact, David was surprised at how the wicked prosper so much without having a relationship with God through Jesus, His Son.

David said that wicked people who are rich and anyone who is rich, and this includes born again christians, will die and not be able to carry anything with them.

So, those of us who are saved should never judge other saved brothers' and sisters' "faith " and " commitment " unto the Lord Jesus, by the amount of material possessions and money they have.

This is where faith and prosperity preachers are deceiving those who listen to them.

We, as born again christians by our faith in Jesus, will all stand before Jesus to be judged by Him some day and give account for everything we say and did in this present earthly life, and as Paul said, " whether it be good or bad."  2 Corinthians 5:10
