This Week's Sermon ( 11-1-16 )

" I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.  "   Psalm 139:14-18

All my life I have never really understood in depth what David meant when he said;

" for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: "

I was recently in a dermatologist's office and while I was waiting I looked at the skin charts he had on the wall.

I was surprised to see so many layers in the human skin. I never knew how complex the human skin is.

He also had a chart of a single strand of human hair. I did not know how detailed a human hair is.

When the doctor came in I said to him - " God really put a lot into creating us, didn't He. "

His response was - " And that is not the half of it. "

Only God could come up with all the detailed intricacy in our design.

This is why Solomon said;

" The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. "   Proverbs 3:19

My friend, God is more than amazing.

Some day soon, because of my faith in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, I will meet Him in person.

I can't wait.
