This Week's Sermon ( 9-24-19 )

" For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: "  Philippians 1:23

" He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.  "   Revelation 22:20

Paul wanted to go to Heaven and be with Jesus which he said is not just better but " far better ".

When John finished writing the book of Revelation, just after Jesus said, " Surely I come quickly ", he wrote the words, " Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus ".

Followers of Jesus back in those days wanted Jesus to return so much.

These are interesting times today now.

I listen to a preacher twice a day who lost his son when his son was only 33.

He misses his son so much. I can tell this preacher wants Jesus to come back. I think he wants to be with his son.

I had a pastor who died in his forties many years ago.

I miss him and can't wait to see him.

Since my wife died I have listened to gospel music like I never have before.

I have noticed on the radio gospel artists now have a lot of songs about Jesus coming back.

I think the writers also want Jesus to return.

It is so good to hear these songs about the return of Jesus.

My Dad and Mom and my wife are in Heaven with Jesus.

I can't wait to see them.

I've asked Jesus for Him to be the first person I see and then my wife and my parents.

I'll probably die before Jesus returns but either way I will get to see Him and my wife and my parents and my pastor and relatives and friends who have died and went to be with Jesus.

Always keep your faith in Jesus and in Him alone for your salvation.
