This Week's Sermon ( 7-27-17 )

" And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. "   Revelation 13:16-17

Something was recently mentioned in the news that I want to take a moment to talk about.

There is a company here in the USA that got the idea from Europe, ( where this has already been going on ), to implant a microchip in the hand of its employees.

There have been microchips already in the past used for medical information but this microchip has more to it than just medical information.

It gives the employee the ability to buy things with this microchip implanted in their hand.

The company has not made this a mandatory procedure.

The employees that want this in their hand, volunteer.

Obviously, this is not the mark of the beast.

So far, this has nothing to do with the antichrist.

However, when the antichrist does come on the political scene, he will know about this technology and use it for his purpose, later.

My friend, we may be getting closer to the rapture - that is, when Jesus returns to catch His people up into the clouds, than we think.

This event known as the rapture is to happen before the antichrist brings the Jews and the Arabs to signing the 7 year peace treaty...commonly known as the 7 Year Tribulation period.

The antichrist's future mandatory rule, that in order to buy food, gas for the car, etc... one must have his identification mark in the right hand or the forehead he will establish later during the 7 year treaty.

While I was watching this news story, I noticed the microchip shown to the media was being laid on the person's right hand.

I know I could still die before Jesus comes back but I will always watch for His return.

Jesus said;

" Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. "   Luke 21:36

Keep your faith in Jesus and keep watching for Him to return, as Jesus Himself told us to do.

This Week's Sermon: ( 3-29-16 )

" For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. "   Hebrews 4:15

" These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. "   John 16:33

I have discussed some of the reasons God chose to become a human being, the main reason being, to keep those of us who believe in His Son Jesus, out of eternal hell.

My friend, merely believing in God and that there is a God does not save us from eternal hell.

We must also believe in Jesus.

Jesus clearly said;

" Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  John 14:1

God wants fellowship with as many human beings as willingly will choose to believe in His Son, Jesus, unto eternal life.

Another reason God became a flesh and blood human being was to find out what it is like to be one of His own creation with all our weaknesses.

God wanted to subject Himself to temptation and experience our temptations, as the writer of Hebrews said;

" ...but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. "

In the human flesh of God's existence He actually " learned " obedience;

" Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; "   Hebrews 5:8

Also, in God's childhood growing up, He learned obedience;

" And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. "   Luke 2:51-52

As a result, because God overcame in His flesh, by our faith in Jesus we can also be overcomers and we can now have a relationship with God as He wants to have with us.

If we belong to God and continue to abide in Him, through our faith in His Son, Jesus, He shares everything He has with us for all eternity.

Give your heart to Jesus before you die and stay with Jesus to the end.

This Week's Sermon: ( 3-23-16 )

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.  "   John 3:16

While it is true Jesus died to set us free from sin, the bondage of sin and being a slave to sin;

" Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. "   Romans 6:18

" But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "  Romans 6:22-23

Paul knew that the main reason ( though not the only reason ) God became a flesh and blood human being and died on the cross, was to keep us out of eternal hell - that is, those of us who choose to believe in Jesus.

Jesus said again;

" And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. "   John 3:14-15

God knew even before He created this planet that He would become a human being and die on the cross for us;

" And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. "   Revelation 13:8

" In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; "   Titus 1:2

When Adam and Eve became separated from the living God by their act of disobedience, God wanted to buy the human race back through His shed blood, death and resurrection so we can live with Him for all eternity, rather than spend eternity in hell.

God wants fellowship with us, His created beings.

This is why He died for us.

Unfortunately, what most people do not believe is that we must rest our faith in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, and in Him alone, in order to escape eternal hell.

Jesus admitted that few will actually believe in Him as being quite literally the only way to Heaven, and this is sad, since He died for all people.

" Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it  "    Matthew 7:14

Salvation is for anyone... whosoever will believe.

" That whosoever believeth in Him...  "   John 3:15

Before you die, put your faith in Jesus, just as the criminal on the cross did just hours before he died.

This Week's Sermon: ( 3-8-16 )

Just as Jesus expounded all the Scriptures in the Old Testament concerning Himself to Cleopas and his friend on the road to Emmaus, likewise Paul expounded all the Scriptures in the Old Testament concerning Jesus to the Jews in Rome;

" And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.  "   Acts 28:23-24

This is the situation.

Just as some believed what Paul taught, some did not believe.

Same as today.

There are some today who believe Jesus is Jehovah in the Old Testament and that Jesus is the One prophesied in the Old Testament to become a human being, the only begotten Son of God, and that Jesus is God who became flesh and dwelt among us...and some, as in Paul's day, who will not believe.

Jesus said clearly;

" I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. "    Revelation 1:8

Micah prophesied about Jesus;

" But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. "   Micah 5:2

The Hebrew word translated " everlasting " means, the days of eternity.

Interestingly, even though John said...

" In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. "   John 1:1-3

and later said in his epistle;

" For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. "   1 John 5:7

there are people who do not believe that Jesus and the Word are the same person.

Again, as with anything else in the Holy Bible, we can choose to reject what we want to reject and believe what we want to believe.

The choice is ours.

My friend, God is amazing.

Jesus said clearly;

" I and my Father are one.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. "   John 10:30-31

God the Father, God the Son ( Jesus ) and God the Holy Spirit are not 3 Gods but one in the same God.

Moses said;

" Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. "   Deuteronomy 6:4-5

There is a reason God became a human being and as incredible as it may seem, quite literally became His own Son in human flesh, blood and bone.

I will continue with this.
