This Week's Sermon ( 6-20-17 )

" Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?  "  Hebrews 1:14

Notice the writer of Hebrews said;

" heirs of salvation "

I will be talking about salvation... what it is, the significance of it and the need for it before we physically die.

I will be talking about who saves us and from what.

I will be talking about how in God's eyes, there are only 2 categories of human beings...the saved and the unsaved.

I will be talking about how you do not need to fear death, wondering what will happen to you after death, if you even believe you will exist after you draw your last breath in this many do not.

I will be talking about the fact that there is only one way to Heaven...not multiple ways, as many believe.

I will be talking about how no human being can earn their entrance into Heaven...even though many people think they are good enough for Heaven.

I will be talking about the fact there is a literal hell that does many do not believe.

Join me as I discuss these topics.

This Week's Sermon: ( 2-25-16 )

" But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

And he said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."   Mark 14:61-62

" But he saith unto them, It is I: be not afraid. "   John 6:20

" And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. "   Exodus 3:14

" And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. "   Luke 24:27

It is interesting that Jesus told His disciples during the storm on Lake Galilee " It is I " ( in the Greek meaning the same as " I am " ) and also told the high priest the same about Himself, " I am ".

This is how God in the Old Testament described Himself to Moses and the children of Israel, " I AM ".

It is also interesting that after Jesus arose from the dead He told Cleopas and his friend on the road to Emmaus all the Old Testament scriptures that prophesied of Him as being the Christ.

We either believe Jesus is Jehovah in the Old Testament or we do not.

The choice is ours.

Jesus said Abraham even knew of Him;

" Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.   John 8:56-58

Notice Jesus again said, " I am ".

Listen up!

God became a human being, literally flesh, blood and bone and His name is Jesus.

I will talk more about this soon.

This Week's Sermon: ( 2-2-16 )

" Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. "  Job 13:15

If you are like me and have lost someone you dearly love and feel as though life has dealt you a dirty blow, just remember the suffering Job went through before God later blessed him again.

Job was so devastated and depressed he said he wished he had never been born.

" Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!

I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave. "  Job 10:18-19

However, Job had a relationship with God and knew God in his heart.

Even though he thought God was doing all the terrible things that was happening to him, he still chose to trust God.

" Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:... "

My friend, if you are going through a rough time through the death of a loved one or for any other reason, and you wonder how this can be happening to you, even being a child of God through your faith in Jesus Christ, just keep on trusting God, as Job did.

As my wife would say, even though she died, don't give up.

My dad wrote a song early in his life and titled it - " Look on the Brighter Side "

My dad was going through a tough time in his life when he wrote this song.

" Look on the brighter side of life,

Don't let your troubles make you blue.

Just wear a sunny smile,

Twill make your life worthwhile,

The Lord will be there to see you through.

Just think of your home up in Heaven,

Where there will be no more pain, no more strife,

You know some day you'll be in glory,

So look on the brighter side of life. "

Keep trusting in God and don't give up!

This Week's Sermon: ( 1-12-16 )

" The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. "   Proverbs 19:22

As a parent, if you have a child with an obvious life threatening disease, you have a responsibility to get your child to a doctor.

DO NOT let a faith, prosperity, name it, claim it, and positive confession preacher question your faith for going to a doctor.

God created doctors for a reason.

I wonder how many people have died from not having themselves checked for cancer and screened for cancer when the doctor suggested it, because of listening to faith, prosperity, name it, claim it and positive confession preachers.

The Lord will judge.

I personally know a woman who rejected a doctor's advice to be checked for cancer.

According to the faith preacher she followed, that would have been showing a lack of faith on her part.

A Hospice nurse shook her head and said - " I can't imagine her letting this go. "

The woman's cancer had become so intense it burst itself onto the surface of her chest.

When this woman first saw signs that something was seriously wrong, she refused to see a doctor.

She was believing for the Lord to heal her...according to the faith doctrine she followed.

She is dead now.

My friend, the same Solomon that said there is a time to die also said why shorten your life before the time.

If this woman had done like the doctor suggested years ago, (who is also a born again christian), she might still be alive today. They could have caught it in time.

This woman could have still continued to believe for healing from the Lord, even while under treatment.

As I told a woman today to do what her doctor suggests and have herself checked, so I say to you as well.

She promised me she would. She told me I changed her life today in telling her all this about the woman that died.

My friend, take care of yourself.

Life is short enough as it is.

Jesus still heals today as He did 2000 years ago.

But people still die...many before the time, as Solomon said.

If you love someone dearly, do them a favor and have yourself checked.

Maybe you can live with them longer.
