This Week's Sermon ( 2-20-18 )

" Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. "   Psalm 41:1

" He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. "   Proverbs 14:21

" He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. "   Proverbs 19:17

" He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. "   Proverbs 28:27

" As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.  "   Esther 9:22

My wife and I enjoyed taking food to the homeless.

We discovered in downtown Denver where the real homeless are, those who literally sleep on the sidewalks. Nearby, there is what is called, The Denver Rescue Mission but they cannot contain all the homeless as there are so many nowadays.

When my wife and I first started taking food to the homeless, there weren't really all that many. The age of them was like forties and older. But now, it is like a city within the city of downtown Denver and includes both young and old.

Even though my wife died, I continue to do this.

Two days ago on Sunday, I took food to the homeless. I got to see a born again christian once again who I had met the last time I went there. Part of one of his legs is gone and he has to be in a wheelchair. He told me he is a believer in Jesus Christ.

I'm finding that there are many born again believers in Jesus who live on the streets.

As I was setting food on the sidewalk a homeless man came up to me and asked me if he could have a can of Pepsi. I looked at him and said - " Of course. This is for you. " He responded by saying to me - " The Lord bless you. "

That just made my day.

My friend, there is a real blessing that comes from doing this for the poor and needy.

I understand why Jesus was with the poor so much.

I encourage you to give to the homeless in your area.  According to Solomon in Proverbs, it is like giving to the Lord.

Take the time to deliver food to them personally and witness to them about Jesus.

They really appreciate it.

I always say to all of them, " Give your heart to Jesus! "

Many respond by saying - " Amen! "

You will be surpised how many homeless people are believers in Jesus.

This Week's Sermon ( 7-11-17 )

" For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. "    Luke 1:15

" And it came to pass, that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. "   Luke 1:41-44

" I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. "   Psalm 22:10

" Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. "  Jeremiah 1:5

According to the Holy Bible, we are human beings even before we are born and still in the womb.

Most people think a human being only becomes a human being after physical birth.

The Holy Bible disagrees with people who think this.

While salvation comes by grace through faith, as this requires a human being to be old enough to understand God's Word, many people wonder what happens to unborn human beings in miscarriage and abortion, and new born human beings in crib death.

Since there is the need to be saved from eternal hell, even when a human being dies while still being in the womb and not old enough to know and understand God's plan of salvation, God takes them to Heaven anyway.

Jesus said;

" And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. "   Matthew 18:3

" But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. "    Matthew 19:14

The blood of Jesus covers their sin, as according to the Holy Bible, we are born in sin. Even while still in the womb upon death, the blood of Jesus redeems them and God takes them to Heaven.

This is the mercy and grace of God.

When I was a baby, I suffered from asthma so severely, the doctor told my parents I was going to die.

Back then, they did not have the modern medicines for people with asthma as they do nowadays.

Like Job, while during his suffering said he wished he had died in his mother's womb and had never been born, I likewise wish, even today, I had died when I could have from my severe case of asthma.

I would not have known grief and misery, like I do today in my loss...and other reasons.

I would have gone to Heaven and all I would ever have known, is Jesus.

The Lord bless you and I will continue this discussion on the need for salvation.

This Week's Sermon ( 6-27-17 )

" Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. "   Psalm 51:5

David said we are born in sin.

Most people do not believe what David said here and prefer to believe that only after we are born, as we grow, we later then, become sinners.

If you believe Adam and Eve existed, as many do not, they were created to have an eternal relationship with God and would have lived forever as they were.

They had a relationship with God that was everlasting because they knew no sin and did not commit sin...as of yet, anyway.

They later disobeyed God's command not to eat of a certain tree.

Eve listened to satan rather than God and was deceived by satan and did eat of the tree God told them not to eat of.

Paul said;

 " For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. "

1 Timothy 2:13-14

When this act of disobedience happened, God's first human beings spiritually became separated from Him for all eternity.

Ever since, every human being that has ever been born to this present day is born in sin and is eternally separated from God.

Many people prefer to believe all human beings are children of God at birth and consequently believe all human beings will eventually end up in Heaven.

Not so.

According to the Holy Bible only those who believe in Jesus become children of God and that is only by adoption.

Technically, Jesus is literally the only flesh and blood born, only begotten Son of God.

Not us.

Jesus declared;

" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "   John 3:16

Jesus did say;

only begotten Son, "

This does not include us.

Jesus is literally the only son of God by physical birth.

Paul said;

" For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  "   Romans 8:14-17

" And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. "   Romans 8:23

After Eve's transgression, the human race became separated from God eternally and is in need to be saved from eternal hell and to be restored back to God as it was before Eve's transgression.

All human beings are in need to be saved.

There is only one way for us to be saved and redeemed back to God...not multiple ways.

I will continue this soon.

This Week's Sermon ( 6-20-17 )

" Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?  "  Hebrews 1:14

Notice the writer of Hebrews said;

" heirs of salvation "

I will be talking about salvation... what it is, the significance of it and the need for it before we physically die.

I will be talking about who saves us and from what.

I will be talking about how in God's eyes, there are only 2 categories of human beings...the saved and the unsaved.

I will be talking about how you do not need to fear death, wondering what will happen to you after death, if you even believe you will exist after you draw your last breath in this life...as many do not.

I will be talking about the fact that there is only one way to Heaven...not multiple ways, as many believe.

I will be talking about how no human being can earn their entrance into Heaven...even though many people think they are good enough for Heaven.

I will be talking about the fact there is a literal hell that does exist...as many do not believe.

Join me as I discuss these topics.
