This Week's Sermon ( 2-20-18 )

" Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. "   Psalm 41:1

" He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. "   Proverbs 14:21

" He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. "   Proverbs 19:17

" He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. "   Proverbs 28:27

" As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.  "   Esther 9:22

My wife and I enjoyed taking food to the homeless.

We discovered in downtown Denver where the real homeless are, those who literally sleep on the sidewalks. Nearby, there is what is called, The Denver Rescue Mission but they cannot contain all the homeless as there are so many nowadays.

When my wife and I first started taking food to the homeless, there weren't really all that many. The age of them was like forties and older. But now, it is like a city within the city of downtown Denver and includes both young and old.

Even though my wife died, I continue to do this.

Two days ago on Sunday, I took food to the homeless. I got to see a born again christian once again who I had met the last time I went there. Part of one of his legs is gone and he has to be in a wheelchair. He told me he is a believer in Jesus Christ.

I'm finding that there are many born again believers in Jesus who live on the streets.

As I was setting food on the sidewalk a homeless man came up to me and asked me if he could have a can of Pepsi. I looked at him and said - " Of course. This is for you. " He responded by saying to me - " The Lord bless you. "

That just made my day.

My friend, there is a real blessing that comes from doing this for the poor and needy.

I understand why Jesus was with the poor so much.

I encourage you to give to the homeless in your area.  According to Solomon in Proverbs, it is like giving to the Lord.

Take the time to deliver food to them personally and witness to them about Jesus.

They really appreciate it.

I always say to all of them, " Give your heart to Jesus! "

Many respond by saying - " Amen! "

You will be surpised how many homeless people are believers in Jesus.

This Week's Sermon ( 9-6-16 )

" And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one cometh unto the Father, but by me. "   John 14:4-6

I recently took food to the homeless in downtown Denver.

My wife and I used to do this when she was alive.

I told the homeless living on the streets to do me a favor and give their heart to Jesus Christ. I told them that Jesus is not merely one of many ways to Heaven.

One spoke up immediately, who had only one leg in a wheel chair, and said - " The only way. "

I told him he got it right.

This blessed me so much to hear him say this.

My friend, Jesus has people everywhere, even living on the streets.

Do not judge who is a believer in Jesus by how much he or she has in material possessions in this present life.

Jesus has poor people too.

And yes, Jesus is literally the only way to Heaven, just as Jesus Himself said, and the homeless guy in the wheel chair said.

This Week's Sermon ( 8-23-16 )

" And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the number of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. "   Revelation 13:16-18

All we know is the antichrist will require an identification mark or number that identifies the person with him, to be able to buy food, clothing, etc... and to be able to sell anything, during the time of his reign.

It will be an identification mark that will be placed either on the person's right hand or forehead that will consist of either some kind of a mark, his number or the number of his name.

It is not clear who gets which kind of identification mark or number but it will obviously be readable by a computer scanner upon presentation and will confirm that the person is a member of the antichrist's organization.

I just learned recently that technology has advanced to the point that a computer designer came up with a scanner that can actually read a person's blood flow when they place their hand on the scanner and will confirm that the person whose hand is placed on the scanner is programmed into the system and has authorized access. The only problem with this presently is if the person has a skin situation that would block the scanner from being able to read the blood flow, the person would have to use the other hand.

What is interesting is that no computer "chip " is necessary. It reads the blood flow.

This technology is expensive but a major company who can afford this is now renting this new computer for handling its finances.

I asked someone who is programmed into this computer and has authorized access if they could foresee the day when people would be making purchases with this method of technology.

The answer was, "yes".

My friend, if the antichrist John prophesied of is alive today, he will have the modern technology to enforce his mark or number in a way that only people who have his identification mark or number can make purchases or sell anything...according to John's prophecy.

We may be nearing the time of the 7 year tribulation period faster than we think...which is when this system of buying and selling with an identification mark or number is supposed to happen, according to Scripture.

Which means, fortunately, the event Paul described for the born again believer in Jesus, could be closer to happening than we think.

" For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words. "   1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

Praise the Lord!

This Week's Sermon ( 7-26-16 )

" And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. "   Acts 1:9-11

Yes, " this same Jesus " will come again, just as He left.

I was on Mt. Olivet in 1993 where Jesus ascended 2000 years ago.

While I was looking at the Eastern Gate of Jerusalem from the Mt. of Olives I was thinking about when Jesus returns.

And, who is " this same Jesus " ?

He is God in the flesh.

Jesus clearly said;

" I and my Father are one. "    John 10:30

My friend, every religion on earth claims to be the only way to Heaven.

Jesus made the same claim.

" Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father but by me. "   John 14:6

Within world religions, there is a compromise of their claim to be the only way to Heaven as some of its leaders will say, in the end, all people will end up in Heaven.

This is contrary to the teaching of the Holy Bible .

Jesus said hell is eternal, not temporary, and Jesus also said there will be more people end up in eternal hell than will make it to Heaven.

" Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. "   Matthew 7:13-14

So again, we choose to believe who and what we want.

I choose to believe Jesus.

When it comes time to die or when Jesus returns, I hope all of us will rest our faith in Jesus.

Yes, Jesus is God in the flesh... God, who came to earth and was born of a virgin, was made of the seed of Abraham, grew up as we do, was tempted as we are, felt physically tired and needed sleep as we do, got hungry as we do, knew what grief, sorrow and sadness is like as we do, knew physical pain as we do, and died for us.

God died in human flesh and was resurrected from the dead bodily as we will be when Jesus returns.

Jesus clearly said after His resurrection;

" Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. "   Luke 24:39

John said about the return of Jesus;

" Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. "   1 John 3:2

I hope Jesus comes today.

The Lord bless you.
