This Week's Sermon ( 9-19-17 )

" The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. "   John 1:29

"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. "   1 John 2:2

God wanted the fellowship back that He had with Adam and Eve before they sinned...and even moreso.

My friend, God did not choose to become one of His angels who fell with Lucifer to redeem them back to Himself.

The angels who chose to fall with satan are doomed to eternal hell...along with satan.

" Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: "   Matthew 25:41

Satan knows God did not choose to become one of the fallen angels to redeem back to Himself and this is one reason he hates God so much and hates the human race so much and will try to get as many human beings into eternal hell with him as he possibly can before his time runs out.

" Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. "   Revelation 12:12

While satan is no doubt in glee presently deceiving the nations;

" And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. "   Revelation 20:3

the time will come when he will be cast into the lake of fire and burn, without being able to die nor escape, for all eternity and he will have all of eternity to remember and regret what he has done and will have the load of guilt to deal with for all eternity as well.

And not only satan and his fallen angels will be in this terrible situation but human beings who reject Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, as Lord and Savior will end up burning in the lake of fire with remembrance of the sins they committed, and will have to live for all eternity with the load of guilt as well.

My friend, everyone that believes in Jesus thinks, including the rest of the world, that everyone is automatically and ultimately going to Heaven because of John saying;

"...Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. "

Jesus did warn that, even though He did die to take away the sin of the world, most of the world will still end up in eternal hell;

" Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. "   Matthew 7:13-14

Keep your faith in Jesus to the end.

This Week's Sermon: ( 3-23-16 )

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.  "   John 3:16

While it is true Jesus died to set us free from sin, the bondage of sin and being a slave to sin;

" Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. "   Romans 6:18

" But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "  Romans 6:22-23

Paul knew that the main reason ( though not the only reason ) God became a flesh and blood human being and died on the cross, was to keep us out of eternal hell - that is, those of us who choose to believe in Jesus.

Jesus said again;

" And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. "   John 3:14-15

God knew even before He created this planet that He would become a human being and die on the cross for us;

" And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. "   Revelation 13:8

" In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; "   Titus 1:2

When Adam and Eve became separated from the living God by their act of disobedience, God wanted to buy the human race back through His shed blood, death and resurrection so we can live with Him for all eternity, rather than spend eternity in hell.

God wants fellowship with us, His created beings.

This is why He died for us.

Unfortunately, what most people do not believe is that we must rest our faith in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, and in Him alone, in order to escape eternal hell.

Jesus admitted that few will actually believe in Him as being quite literally the only way to Heaven, and this is sad, since He died for all people.

" Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it  "    Matthew 7:14

Salvation is for anyone... whosoever will believe.

" That whosoever believeth in Him...  "   John 3:15

Before you die, put your faith in Jesus, just as the criminal on the cross did just hours before he died.

This Week's Sermon: ( 3-8-16 )

Just as Jesus expounded all the Scriptures in the Old Testament concerning Himself to Cleopas and his friend on the road to Emmaus, likewise Paul expounded all the Scriptures in the Old Testament concerning Jesus to the Jews in Rome;

" And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.  "   Acts 28:23-24

This is the situation.

Just as some believed what Paul taught, some did not believe.

Same as today.

There are some today who believe Jesus is Jehovah in the Old Testament and that Jesus is the One prophesied in the Old Testament to become a human being, the only begotten Son of God, and that Jesus is God who became flesh and dwelt among us...and some, as in Paul's day, who will not believe.

Jesus said clearly;

" I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. "    Revelation 1:8

Micah prophesied about Jesus;

" But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. "   Micah 5:2

The Hebrew word translated " everlasting " means, the days of eternity.

Interestingly, even though John said...

" In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. "   John 1:1-3

and later said in his epistle;

" For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. "   1 John 5:7

there are people who do not believe that Jesus and the Word are the same person.

Again, as with anything else in the Holy Bible, we can choose to reject what we want to reject and believe what we want to believe.

The choice is ours.

My friend, God is amazing.

Jesus said clearly;

" I and my Father are one.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. "   John 10:30-31

God the Father, God the Son ( Jesus ) and God the Holy Spirit are not 3 Gods but one in the same God.

Moses said;

" Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. "   Deuteronomy 6:4-5

There is a reason God became a human being and as incredible as it may seem, quite literally became His own Son in human flesh, blood and bone.

I will continue with this.

This Week's Sermon: ( 2-25-16 )

" But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

And he said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."   Mark 14:61-62

" But he saith unto them, It is I: be not afraid. "   John 6:20

" And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. "   Exodus 3:14

" And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. "   Luke 24:27

It is interesting that Jesus told His disciples during the storm on Lake Galilee " It is I " ( in the Greek meaning the same as " I am " ) and also told the high priest the same about Himself, " I am ".

This is how God in the Old Testament described Himself to Moses and the children of Israel, " I AM ".

It is also interesting that after Jesus arose from the dead He told Cleopas and his friend on the road to Emmaus all the Old Testament scriptures that prophesied of Him as being the Christ.

We either believe Jesus is Jehovah in the Old Testament or we do not.

The choice is ours.

Jesus said Abraham even knew of Him;

" Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.   John 8:56-58

Notice Jesus again said, " I am ".

Listen up!

God became a human being, literally flesh, blood and bone and His name is Jesus.

I will talk more about this soon.
