Which Is The Right Way?

" There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. "

Proverbs 14:12
" The way of a fool seems right to him,
but a wise man listens to advice. "
  Proverbs 12:15

" All a man's ways seem right to him,
but the Lord weighs the heart. "
Proverbs 21:2

"And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart,
though thou knewest all this; But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them;
and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know:
and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing:
MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet,
and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
And Darius the Median took the kingdom,
being about threescore and two years old. "
Daniel 5:22-31

Every religion and church denomination claims to be the way to Heaven.
They all teach that we must belong to their religion and/or organization
in order to reach Heaven. I have friends still attending the church I grew up
in and they think no one outside their church can be saved.
I had a friend who told me he belonged to the World Council of Churches.
His reasoning behind this was that if he belonged to all churches, one of them
had to be right and this would gaurantee him admittance into Heaven.
He lived a life of riches and wealth but it ended in sorrow,
taking a gun and shooting himself in the head.
What is sad, I talked to him about salvation and he told me he knew I was a christian. Even with this I could not reach him.
God gave us the power of choice. We can believe what we want to believe
and we have certainly taken Him up on His offer to choose what we want
to believe.
However, He did pave the way, the only way to Heaven... that is, to Himself and that way is through His Son Jesus. Not Jesus plus a church, any saint, the pope, Mary, or good works - only Jesus. This is where many people will miss the boat.
Notice God told Belshazzar that he was weighed in the scales and found wanting.
God may quit dealing with us if we continue to reject Him and the way He has laid out for us. It is true that we still have a chance to choose the right way as
long as we are living, but if He sees that no matter what He does we will not believe in the right and only way to Heaven, He might decide to end our life here on earth, just as He did Belshazzar's.
Salvation is not to be played around with. Our life here on earth is temporal and the next life is eternal. The world teaches many ways to Heaven
and the Bible only one.
We should ask ourselves this:
Which way have I really chosen?... for me is Jesus really the only way, is
He truly enough or does making sure I go to the right church secure
Heaven for me?
Is Jesus really enough to get me to Heaven or do I need to do something?
Is Jesus really sufficient that if I were to die tonight when I fall asleep that I
have no doubt my soul will be with Him in Heaven?
Was Jesus enough for one of the 2 thieves who rested his faith in Jesus and was totally convinced in his heart that Jesus alone could get him to Heaven,
even in his dying moments?
Do we really believe that that thief is today with Jesus in Heaven?
Are we sure the way we have chosen is the right way?
