Keep On Doing Good

Galatians 6:7-10 says;
" Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he sows.
The one who sows to please his sinful nature,
from that nature will reap destruction;
the one who sows to please the Spirit,
from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest
if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers. "
Have you ever felt like giving up trying to be nice to somebody? If you are human like me you no doubt have someone in your everyday life who presents a challenge for you... an ongoing daily test of endurance.
Hopefully, we ourself are not someone else's challenge but in reality, we all are a test to each other's ability of endurance, no matter who we are. Though this is commonly denied. But Jesus said in Luke 17:1;
" It is impossible but that offences will come:
but woe unto him, through whom they come! "
But if you feel like you have tried every way you can think of to get along with someone and it seems fruitless,
remember this verse - at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.
Also, remember this; If we choose to be an agitation to someone while enjoying making someone's life miserable,
we will reap another kind of harvest that is not as pleasant as the harvest we would reap if we chose to do good.
God is fair enough to return to us what we do, no matter who we are, whether evil or good. Paul said in Colossians 3:25;
" Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong,
and there is no favoritism. "
If you are around a smart mouth person who constantly talks to you in this manner, no matter what - never give in
and become like them. Always keep your sweet disposition remembering that we all will someday give an account for what we say. You do not want to say anything that you will be sorry for someday. Remember that Jesus never smarted off to anyone in order to get back at them for what they said. If you have a conscience toward God, never sear it. Keep your cool
and never give in and talk like them. We should always make our words beneficial to the ears of the hearer.
Find good to do for other people, especially God's own. Notice that Paul said we should do good to not only christians, but to the nonbeliever as well. This is where we miss it sometimes. We should love our neighbor as ourself and this includes anyone we come in contact with. Remember, Jesus fed the multitudes of people He knew did not believe in Him.
